Denim Trend Report 19'
There's no such things as January blues here! As we welcome 2019 the ALC team is on hand to inspire you when it comes to all things denim. This trend report will cover the denim trends to look out for in 2019.  Naturally, your favourite skinny jeans will remain a wardrobe mainstay, but if you’re ready for an update there are a few key looks we predict will take over this season. Think flared legs, raw hems, cropped lengths and high waisted cuts.
Denim is forever!

EMBROIDERY

Embroidery adds feminine spin on denim classics and one of our favorite trends for 2019 is embroidered denim. Embroidery looks amazing on a slightly relaxed jean, particularly that of a higher-rise, cropped, straight silhouette. The trend comes in the form of tiny floral details, designs and even writing/slogans. An embroidered jean feels like something truly special and different, but a vintage wash keeps it feeling a bit tomboy and effortless.

RAW HEMS

All the fashion "It" girls and street style stars have gone crazy over jeans with straggly, unkempt hems. The best part of this trend, as far as we're concerned, is that everyone can wear it, because it's not limited to one particular denim fit. You'll find frayed, raw hem jeans available in just about every style of jeans now, from skinnies to this year's must have straight legs, and even flared styles.

THE CROPPED FLARE

Perfect for that transitional period between spring and summer, cropped flares can be worn with on-trend loafers and trainers for right now and they also look super chic with court shoes for evenings out. We're all here for calf-skimming denim, but just make sure your boots come up high enough so as to not show too much skin (legs always look longest when there's a seamless transition from hem to boot)!
