We have some 'New In' Brands for AW19 and wanted to introduce them to you all  in a little series on the blog. Starting with Fabienne Chapot!

The brand was founded in 2006 by Fabienne Chapot, with the vision of adding bold and vibrant designs to a market that was at the time, rather bleak.  Creative Director Sophie van Bentum finds her inspiration from vintage movies, which is portrayed perfectly in each design. 

The brand is lead by females who's vision was to empower all women to feel comfortable and confident in what they wear -  and that’s what drew the ALC team in!

We love the attention to detail in the designs, all prints start off as a sketch or painting before being developed through experimentation with layering or inflation. Details such as buttons in the shape of clouds and planets add that extra bit of 'cool' to each piece. 

The brands focus on flattering silhouettes is noticeable in the pieces we have in store, the garments are cut in gorgeous shapes, emphasising the waist and flattering on every size. From their skirts to dresses to shirts there is something for everyone. We just love the elegant feel and look of the pieces.

Creative Director Sophie van Bentrum on her designs:

“In the current zeitgeist, where women finally raise their voices, I believe in the need for a strong feminine silhouette. After a long period of minimalism and as a counterpart to the high that streetwear is currently experiencing, I feel the need to create designs that celebrate the female body, to make women feel beautiful and embrace their bodies.”

Pictured above is the Carlotta Dress, in Patchy Leopard Print. The long sleeve midi dress features a D ring belt and small shoulder pads giving your body shape and a strong silhouette.
