Florals meet polka dots in their SS20 Collection which we are proud to be stockists of! Let's find out a bit more about the beginnings of the brand, all the way from Antwerp...
Essentiel Antwerp was launched in 1999 with a handful of T-Shirts and a whole lotta love! Esfan Eghtessadi and Inge Onsea took a chance on their dream and within one year they opened their first store in Antwerp. Fast forward four seasons and the pair had introduced a whole collection, from boots to outerwear in clashing colours, bold prints and a sequin or two for good measure! Designed to provoke emotions, Esfan & Inge create each collection to share a powerful message of love, fun, and colourful surprises.
Before embarking on the adventure of setting up Essentiel Antwerp both Inge and Efsan were involved in fashion from a young age. Inge was a model and Efsan grew up in a household full of fabrics and patterns as his mother was a fashion designer. Inge also spent 5 years living in India where she fell in love with the country's rich and colourful culture. Her obsession with bold details translates in to her designs; pieces often come in risky colour combinations but the beautiful designs suit the clashing colours perfectly.
Here at ALC we are a big fan of the brand's ethos and aesthetic, we appreciate the attention to detail and the amount of energy put in to creating fun, fresh collections!
